Abstract

This study uses the Gelberg-Andersen model to identify the characteristics of homeless people in the Moncton region who use health, social, and community services. One hundred and ninety-four participants took part in this study in the context of the At Home / Chez Soi project. Homeless people struggling with post-traumatic stress are less likely to use ambulatory hospital services than those with other diagnosed mental health disorders. Women are more likely to use social and community services. Our results shed light on the necessity of adapting practices and health, social and community services to the needs and living conditions of homeless people.
