A Primary Care Mental Health Pathway for Children and Youth: A Mental Health Services Quality Improvement Initiative in Ontario

Abstract

We introduce the innovative components of a primary care pathway for child and youth mental health (MH) in Ontario. We share our experiences with developing and implementing the pathway that supports inter-provider communication, standardized screening, timely access to community MH services, and is adaptable to different services and settings.

Nous présentons les composantes novatrices d’un parcours de soins primaires pour la santé mentale des enfants et des adolescents en Ontario. Nous partageons nos expériences avec le développement et la mise en œuvre de ce parcours qui améliore la communication entre les prestataires, le dépistage standardisé et l’accès opportun aux services communautaires.
