Publication: Canadian Journal of Community Mental Health
2 Juillet 2012

Abstract

This article investigated the contribution of occupation and work organization conditions to psychological distress and psychotropic drug use in the Canadian workforce. Results obtained from data analysis of cycle 2.1 of the Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS 2.1), suggested a limited role of work in psychological distress and psychotropic drug use. Family situation, neighbourhood, and individual characteristics were associated more strongly with these mental problems.
